Carbin Reef in Sagay City

  • One of the famous tourist attraction in Sagay City which is a part of marine sanctuary under the supervision of the Marine Department of Silliman University. The surrounding marine life is characterized by corals and a variety of fish species.

  • The reef is practically all-white sand with an area of about two hectares at low tide and at high tide the reef is reduced to about half of its size. Its clear water offers the freshest option for swimming, snorkeling, picnic, or just frolicking in the sand.Amazing! isn't it?

This is one of my favorite destination in Sagay City...Recently I've been in this place and I was fascinated to stay for almost 8 hours from 10am to 4pm...I really had a good time here together with my friend, we enjoyed snorkeling in a clear water and frolicking in the white sand...

As a tourism student I will promote Carbin Reef as my priority destination here in Negros Occidental because I'm pretty sure that many tourists would love to come and visit to enjoy the place... However, the Government should take good care of this God's gift and should preserve the uniqueness of the reef because I believe that this is one of the engines in the economic development of the city...
